Strawberry Hill Groom and Board and The Dog Wash

Strawberry Hill Groom and Board and The Dog Wash is a dog boarding kennel at 350 Westport Ave in Norwalk, CT, with grooming and a self-service dog wash in the same building. Its biggest difference from a typical kennel is medical coverage. Veterinarians and technicians are on staff every day, which can matter a lot for older dogs or dogs that need special care.

What does a boarding stay include?

Boarding dogs stay in spacious runs. They go out for several walks a day in a fully enclosed outdoor area. The kennel describes boarding as a comfortable home away from home for dogs whose owners are traveling for work, taking a vacation, or dealing with an emergency.

• Full-service boarding in spacious runs
• Several walks a day in a fully enclosed outdoor area
• Veterinarians and technicians on staff every day
• A free bath on departure day for boarding guests
• Grooming services and a self-service dog wash

Why does having vets on staff matter?

When the kennel and the veterinary staff share a facility, a health concern during a stay doesn't have to wait for a trip across town. That makes Strawberry Hill worth a look for owners of senior dogs or dogs with ongoing medical needs. It is listed for both traditional boarding and veterinary boarding.

Can owners see the kennel first?

Yes. The kennel offers facility tours, so nervous owners can see the runs and the outdoor area before booking. Calling ahead during office hours is the simplest way to set one up.
