Stephen Mohr K9 Services

Stephen Mohr K9 Services is a veteran-owned dog training business at 754 Murray Lindler Rd in Chapin, SC, that also offers in-home dog boarding. Dogs stay in a home setting instead of a kennel, and training sits at the center of what the business does.

What services does Stephen Mohr K9 Services offer?

The business pairs boarding with training and hands-on practical care. Its website describes a personalized approach, with each dog's program built around what that particular dog needs to learn.

• In-home dog sitting and boarding
• Puppy, obedience, and service dog training
• Behavior modification and detection training
• Medication administration and veterinary appointment handling
• Dog transport with pickup and dropoff

What sets it apart from a typical boarding kennel?

The training credentials are what stand out. Listed certifications include a Master Dog Trainer Certificate and dog First Aid and CPR, both from Highland K9, plus a Veterinary Assistant Certificate from Midlands Tech. The business also lists the Association of Professional Dog Trainers (APDT), the International Association of Canine Professionals (IACP), and the CPDT-KA credential.

That mix may suit owners whose dog needs medication while they travel. It could also fit a dog that would benefit from work on manners or behavior during its stay. The website describes positive reinforcement and consistency as the backbone of its training.
