SaraBay Kennels

SaraBay Kennels is an overnight dog boarding kennel at 5609 Lovejoy Road in Byron, Michigan. Each dog stays in a private suite. It suits owners who want their dog to get one-on-one outdoor time instead of group play, in a quiet country setting west of the city.

How does playtime work at SaraBay Kennels?

There is no group play here. The kennel has 8 private play yards, and dogs go out individually 3-4 times a day. The owners describe their approach simply: more exercise means less stress. That makes it a reasonable fit for dogs that do better without a crowd.

What are the suites and building like?

Dogs board in private suites inside a climate-controlled building. Radiant floor heat keeps it warm in winter, and air conditioning cools it in summer. A reverse isolation system brings in fresh outdoor air every day. Staff also use lavender aromatherapy to help dogs settle in.

What services are offered?

• Private suite boarding with outdoor space
• Individual playtime in 8 private yards, 3-4 times daily
• Medication administration during the stay
• Exit baths and blow-drys with conditioner
• Photo updates while your dog is boarding

The photo updates are a nice touch for owners who worry while they're away. A bath before pickup means the dog comes home clean instead of smelling like the kennel.
