Roswell Humane Society

The Roswell Humane Society, established in 1970, is dedicated to preventing animal cruelty, alleviating suffering, and promoting humane education within the community. Initially located at 118 East Hendricks with a capacity for approximately 50 animals, the shelter soon outgrew its space. A significant revitalization occurred in 1979 with the successful launch of their Thrift Shop, which allocated a portion of its proceeds to operational costs and a building fund. Combined with substantial donations, these efforts led to the inauguration of their current facility at 703 E. McGaffey Street.
