Powhatan Paws Pet Sitting

Powhatan Paws Pet Sitting is a home-based dog boarding and daycare service at 1545 Meade Point Drive in Powhatan, VA. Dogs stay in the owner's house instead of kennel runs. For owners looking for dog boarding in Powhatan that feels more like a stay with family, it offers a cage-free option on over 10 acres of private, fenced property.

How is this different from a traditional kennel?

The biggest difference is the setting. Dogs spend their stay inside a home, and the business describes them relaxing on beds and sofas between play sessions. The property has two separate fenced play areas, so bigger or more energetic dogs can play apart from smaller or older ones when needed. Supervision is constant during the day, and a splash pad gives dogs a way to cool off outside.

What services are offered?

• Overnight stays and sleepovers in the home
• Doggie daycare with indoor and outdoor play
• Dog walks from 30 minutes to 1 hour, with leash training
• Medication given when a dog needs it
• Pick-up and drop-off for an additional fee

How do owners keep tabs on their dog?

Owners get daily photo and video updates through the Pet Pocketbook app. That helps a lot on a dog's first stay, when owners tend to worry most. They can see their dog playing in the yard instead of guessing how things are going. Boarding is climate controlled, so dogs stay comfortable through hot Virginia summers and cold winter nights.

Practical details for booking

Overnight boarding is listed at $58 per night on the business's website. Booking is done by phone at 804-937-2664. Owners with questions can also email audreybonafe@gmail.com. Because care happens in a home rather than a large facility, it makes sense to call ahead, especially around holidays.
