What makes this kennel different?

Many boarding facilities focus on boarding alone. Brier Ridge approaches dog care from the field, with training and breeding geared toward hunting breeds. Its website describes raising Brittanys and Boykins for field work and for life as family companions. That background should appeal to owners of sporting dogs who want their dog in the hands of people who work with bird dogs every day.

Owners without hunting plans can board here too. The overall feel is that of a working kennel run by outdoors people, so families looking for a spa-style pet resort may want to ask questions first.

What should owners know before booking?

Vaccinations are required for every boarding dog, so owners should have current records ready before reaching out. Call or email the kennel to ask about rates and availability. Brier Ridge can be reached by phone at 804-310-5924 or by email at info@brierridgedogs.com. The kennel is located in Moseley, VA 23120, and it also has a Facebook page.
