Philly Canine Social Club

Philly Canine Social Club is a dog daycare at 1713 S 12th Street in South Philadelphia, focused on teaching dogs healthy social skills. For owners comparing dog daycare in Philadelphia, its main draw is structure: play is guided by a dog behaviorist with more than 20 years of experience, and the day is built around learning as much as fun.

What happens during a day here?

Dogs spend the day socializing with other dogs under close guidance. The club describes its setting as safe, structured, and balanced, with the goal of letting dogs express their natural selves while building good habits. Rest time is built into the schedule to prevent overstimulation, which the club sees as a common cause of trouble at busier daycares.

• Guided group socialization led by a dog behaviorist
• Scheduled rest breaks during the day
• On-leash conditioning through pack walks
• Indoor play in a small, cozy space
• Training and behavioral support

Is it a good fit for anxious or under-socialized dogs?

This is where the club stands out. It offers behavioral support for anxious and under-socialized dogs, and the pack walks give them on-leash practice around other dogs. Owners of a rescue that is still learning how to read other dogs may find this approach more useful than a large open-play room.

Hours, pricing, and location

The club is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Daycare runs $40 to $55 per day, with discounts for dogs that attend multiple times and for households with more than one dog. It sits in the Passyunk area of South Philly, ZIP code 19148.
