Paws Pet N' Play

Paws Pet N' Play runs cage-free dog boarding and daycare in Daly City, out of an 8,500 square foot indoor facility at 6256 Mission Street. More than 3,500 square feet of that space is K9 Grass artificial turf, sitting under 16 foot ceilings lined with windows. The play area is an indoor grass field, so dogs get room to run without leaving the building.

Both daycare and overnight care are cage-free, so dogs spend their time together in the shared play space.

What makes it different

Scale is the first thing an owner notices. The indoor field means rain doesn't cancel playtime, and the window-lined ceilings keep the room bright through the day. Staff are Pet CPR and First Aid certified, and someone is on site around the clock, so boarding dogs are supervised overnight.

New dogs start with a free one to two hour temperament evaluation. It gives staff a read on how a dog plays and handles a busy room before it joins the group.

Practical details

Paws Pet N' Play is open 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM Monday through Friday, and 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM on Saturday and Sunday. Reservations are made by phone at (650) 993-8304. Published rates run from $13 to $88 per day depending on the service, and vaccinations are required for every dog. Pickup and drop-off is available for owners who can't make the trip themselves.
