Paws 'N' Play Doggy Daycare

Paws 'N' Play Doggy Daycare is a cage-free dog boarding and daycare facility at 562 Reed Road in Dartmouth, MA. Dogs spend their days in supervised off-leash group play, and overnight guests sleep in one of 21 boarding rooms. Grooming and training are offered on site as well.

What services does Paws 'N' Play offer?

The focus here is off-leash play, with daycare and overnight boarding built around it. The kennel's website describes the goal as a dog that goes home happy and well exercised. Socialization is a big part of the approach, so most dogs spend the day with a group.

• Cage-free overnight boarding in private rooms
• Dog daycare with supervised group play
• Grooming
• Training
• Climate-controlled indoor play space

What is the play space like?

Outside, there is a 1,800 sq ft fenced play area surfaced with pea gravel. Play pools come out in the summer, and fresh water and toys are available all day. The building is climate controlled and has its own indoor play space.

Not every dog likes a big group. A separate fenced area is set aside for dogs that do better in a smaller group or on their own.

Who is looking after the dogs?

Dogs are supervised 100% of the time. The owners and caretakers live on the property, which matters to anyone who worries about overnight stays. The kennel lists several credentials: NAPPS (National Association of Professional Pet Sitters) certification, a canine behavior certification, PetTech Pet CPR and First Aid certification, and Knowing Dogs 101 training.

What should owners know before booking?

Boarding rates published on the kennel's website run from $55 to $65 per night. Vaccinations are required. Reservations are made by phone at 508-965-7925, and questions can also go to info@pawsnplaydaycare.com. Business hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
