Paws-A-Moment

Paws-A-Moment is a small, home-based dog boarding and daycare service at 622 Camino Kansas in Rio Rico, Arizona. Dogs stay cage-free in a house setting rather than in kennel runs, and the operation has a capacity of six dogs.

What services does Paws-A-Moment offer?

The business offers overnight boarding, dog daycare, and in-home pet sitting for many types of pets. It also takes senior dogs, disabled dogs, and dogs recovering from surgery.

• Cage-free overnight boarding in a home setting
• Dog daycare with indoor and outdoor play space
• In-home pet sitting for many pet types
• Senior, disabled and post-surgery care
• Medication help, including daily injections and insulin

What is a stay like?

Boarding here is open and pack-style. Dogs are free to run and play with the group during the day, and iCalmDog soothing music plays at bedtime. Outside, a fully fenced yard has synthetic turf and shade. There is also an indoor play area for days when staying inside makes more sense.

The kennel's own website reads warm and personal, with a focus on individual attention instead of a big-kennel crowd. With room for only six dogs, that focus matches the setup.

Can they handle special diets and medical needs?

Yes. Paws-A-Moment accommodates raw and dehydrated diets, along with other special diets. The kennel can also give medication, including daily injections such as insulin. That makes it a practical option for owners of older dogs or pets coming home from a procedure.

Practical details

Published boarding rates on the kennel's website run from $35 to $75 per night. Reservations are made online, and all dogs must be current on required vaccinations. Questions can go to 520-988-0994 or info@paws-a-moment.com.
