Mt. Tom Boarding and Grooming

Mt. Tom Boarding and Grooming provides dog boarding in Holyoke, MA, at 320 Easthampton Rd, and also offers grooming and cat boarding. It is a traditional kennel with veterinary care on site through Holyoke Animal Hospital and Dr. Henderson. Published rates run from $25 to $30 per day.

What does a dog's stay look like?

Each dog gets an individual run and can reach it all day through a doggie door. Indoor and outdoor run options are available, so a dog can stretch its legs on its own schedule. Staff keep a close eye on fresh water, and bedding is washed daily.

The kennel provides food. Owners of dogs on specialty diets can bring their own food, and staff will feed that instead. The kennel's own site puts a lot of weight on routine and cleanliness, which fits with those habits.

What services are offered?

• Boarding for dogs in individual runs with all-day doggie door access
• Indoor and outdoor run options
• Cat boarding
• Grooming
• On-site veterinary care through Holyoke Animal Hospital

What makes it different from other kennels?

The veterinary connection is the main thing. On-site veterinary care may appeal to owners of older dogs or dogs with health conditions who want a vet close at hand. The kennel also offers facility tours, so owners can see the runs and ask questions before booking a stay.
