McDonald's Kennels

McDonald's Kennels offers dog boarding and daycare at 3502 NW Half Mile Rd in Silverdale, WA. It also boards cats and does grooming. The kennel's website lists overnight boarding at $16 to $29 per night, and you book by phone.

What is a dog's stay like?

Each dog gets its own indoor kennel with an attached covered outdoor run that no other dog shares. Staff supervise the kennels at all times. In cold weather the indoor areas are heated, with the temperature set by thermostat. If you want your dog to get more activity, you can add a walk and playtime session to the stay.

• Overnight boarding for small, medium and large dogs
• Dog daycare
• Grooming
• Medication given by staff, and special diets
• Cat boarding in a separate cattery

Does it accept every breed?

Yes. McDonald's Kennels has no breed bans and has experience with special-needs pets. If your dog takes medication, eats a special diet or has been turned away elsewhere, this kennel is worth a call. Calling ahead to explain your dog's needs is a sensible first step.

What about cats?

Cats stay in a dedicated cattery with condos on one or two levels. The single-level condos are a good fit for cats that shouldn't be jumping, so mention it when you book if that applies.
