Big Valley Pet Resort

Big Valley Pet Resort is a farm-setting dog boarding and daycare facility on Big Valley Road NE in Poulsbo, Washington. It also offers grooming and training, and it boards cats and small exotic pets.

What services does Big Valley Pet Resort offer?

The resort covers most of what a Kitsap County dog owner might need in one place. Boarding is open to dogs of all breeds and sizes, from small terriers up to giant breeds. For shorter needs, the doggie daycare program handles daytime visits.

• Overnight boarding for small, medium, large and giant dogs
• Doggie daycare with outdoor play space
• Grooming services
• Medication administration during a stay
• Training

What makes it different?

The farm setting is the main draw, and the resort describes its grounds as tranquil. Dogs have access to outdoor space. The resort says it tailors play activities to each dog's temperament and personality, so dogs are grouped with others who play the same way. Its stated goal is a clean, safe place where pets stay happy while their owners are away.

Households with more than one kind of pet may find it especially handy. Big Valley Pet Resort has cat boarding rooms and also takes exotic pets such as birds, bunnies and lizards.
