Klassic Tails Inn

Klassic Tails Inn is a family-owned dog boarding and cat boarding facility at 90010 Knight Rd in Elmira, Oregon, west of Eugene. It welcomes dogs of every size, from small breeds to giant ones, and it never uses dog crates.

What does a boarded dog's day look like?

Each dog gets an individual indoor kennel with an attached covered outdoor run. Three times a day, dogs go out to shaded exercise yards that look out over the surrounding forest. The building is climate controlled, so the indoor space stays comfortable all year.

Owners who want more activity for an energetic dog can add extra walks or off-leash play-yard excursions on top of the regular turnouts. The site describes these as a way for dogs to burn off energy with a handler.

Services and amenities

• Cage-free boarding with indoor kennels and covered outdoor runs
• Three daily turnouts in shaded, forest-view yards
• Grooming during or apart from a stay
• Pickup and drop-off, including shuttles to Eugene Airport and the train station
• A separate cattery with private suites and classical music at night

What sets it apart?

Klassic Tails Inn also cares for geriatric and medically fragile pets. That matters for owners of older dogs or dogs with ongoing health needs. Cats stay in their own cattery, away from the dog area. The kennel also keeps its rates steady over the holidays, with no surge pricing.

Practical details

The kennel's website lists boarding at $29 to $35 per night. The facility is open 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM every day of the week.
