K-9 & Pets Dog Training, LLC

K-9 & Pets Dog Training, LLC is a training-focused dog daycare in East Longmeadow, Massachusetts, located at 576 North Main St. The facility pairs daytime group play with a full menu of obedience and protection training. It suits owners who want their dog exercised and socialized during the day, and those who want structured lessons as well.

What does a daycare day look like?

Dogs spend the day in an indoor/outdoor facility with a playground, sliders and doggie pools. The schedule is built around multiple 30-minute play sessions per day, so dogs get repeated bursts of activity instead of one long stretch. The kennel's website describes the setup as a pack environment, with attention paid to each dog's temperament.

Daycare runs from $35 to $42 per day, according to the kennel's website.

What training does it offer?

Training is a large part of what happens here. Lessons are led by a Certified Professional Dog Trainer who is also certified in Canine CPR. The listed credentials include the North American Ring Association (NARA), the American Working Dog Association (AWDA), the Central Canine Society (SCC, France) and the American Kennel Club (AKC).

• 1-on-1 private obedience lessons
• Puppy lessons and group classes
• Personal and family protection training
• K-9 protection sports
• Self-wash dog bath stations with tub, dryer and wipes

The website's tone is direct and personal. Its stated philosophy is that training should be fun and shaped around the individual dog.
