House of Hounds is a full-service pet care company that has cared for dogs and cats in the Kanawha Valley since 2006. Founded in Nitro, West Virginia, and later expanded with a second location in Charleston, the business built its reputation on a home-like, cage-free environment where every guest is treated like part of the pack. Dogs spend their days in supervised indoor and outdoor play, snoozing at night with round-the-clock staff on hand for potty breaks and comfort.

A Trained, Attentive Team

Staff undergo ongoing education, seminars, and training programs, and most team members — including groomers — hold Animal First Aid certification. All boarding and daycare guests must be spayed/neutered, pass a temperament evaluation, and stay current on vaccinations including Bordetella, DHPP, and Rabies.
