Full Moon Kennels

Full Moon Kennels is a traditional dog boarding facility at 200 Mingo Road in Wexford, PA, offering overnight stays, grooming, and cat boarding. The place is built around outdoor time, with 6,000 square feet of fenced play yards on the property.

What does a typical day look like?

Every boarding dog gets two outdoor play sessions a day, one in the morning and one in the evening. Dogs that get along with others can join supervised small-group play. Dogs that would rather skip the group get one-on-one play with staff instead, so they still get outside. The kennel describes its approach in simple terms: fresh air and room to sniff and explore help dogs stay calm while their owners are away.

What services and extras are available?

• Overnight dog boarding with customized care plans and feeding schedules
• Two daily outdoor play sessions in fenced yards
• Enrichment add-ons such as frozen Kongs, Pupsicles, and cuddle time
• On-property trail walks
• Grooming and cat boarding

What should owners know before booking?

Boarding runs $50 to $55 per night, and households boarding more than one dog can get a multi-dog discount. Vaccinations are required before a stay, so it helps to have records ready. Reservations are made online, and questions can go to the kennel at 724-935-2185 or fullmoonkennels200@gmail.com.

Who is it a good fit for?

Full Moon Kennels suits Wexford-area owners who want their dog outside and active during a stay. It also works well for dogs that don't mix with other dogs, since one-on-one play keeps them in the routine. Families with both dogs and cats can board everyone in one place, and grooming can be handled on the same property.
