About Downtown Dogs
Downtown Dogs is a dog daycare and boarding facility at 734 S 1st St in downtown San Jose, CA. It handles both day play and overnight stays. Owners searching for dog boarding in San Jose will find cage-free play, private suites, and staff supervision around the clock.
What services does Downtown Dogs offer?
The facility takes small, medium, and large dogs for daycare and boarding. Grooming and training are also offered on site, so a bath or some extra manners practice can fit into a longer stay.
- Daycare and overnight boarding in private suites
- Kuranda dog beds, with optional upgraded bedding
- Grooming and training services
- Enrichment activities, including nosework, agility, Rally-O, 3D Stay, and heeling games
- Birthday packages and turn-down service
How are dogs grouped for play?
Dogs play in one of three indoor playrooms sorted by personality and size: Tiny Town, Dogsville, and Ruff City. With this setup, a small or shy dog doesn't have to share space with the biggest, rowdiest players. The building is climate controlled, so indoor play goes on no matter the weather outside.
How can owners check on their dog?
Owners get webcam access, so they can look in on their dog from work or while traveling. The team also sends pup-dates with photos and video. Staff supervise dogs 24/7, which matters most to owners booking overnight stays.
