Dogwood Pet Lodge

Dogwood Pet Lodge offers dog boarding and daycare at 8824 Dogwood Road in Windsor Mill, MD, on a 7-acre country property in the Baltimore area. Each dog gets its own private indoor quarters. The building is heated and air-conditioned year-round. Published boarding rates run from $52 to $61 per day.

What does a boarding day look like?

Boarded dogs get four potty breaks a day plus daily playtime sessions. At night they sleep in their own quarters on hammock-style or quilted bedding. The lodge says it gives individualized care to dogs with all kinds of needs. Staff can give medications and handle special diets, which helps owners of older dogs or dogs with health conditions.

What sets this kennel apart?

The main difference is how the building is run. Heating and air conditioning stay on all year, and a backup generator keeps the facility running if the power goes out. The lodge also uses BioOx air purification reactors to keep the air cleaner throughout the building. Outside, the country setting gives dogs real outdoor space instead of a strip of pavement behind a storefront.
