Dog's Best Friend

Dog's Best Friend is a traditional kennel offering dog boarding in Columbia, SC, with cat boarding and grooming available at the same facility. It serves pet owners around Columbia and nearby Blythewood who want their dog to stay active while they are away.

What does a boarding stay include?

The kennels are climate controlled, which matters during long South Carolina summers and the occasional winter cold snap. Every boarding guest gets exercise, and dogs have room to move both indoors and outside. The kennel's own website calls the place a country camp for dogs, and the amenities lean that way.

• Climate-controlled kennels
• Indoor play area
• Fenced outdoor play areas
• Exercise for all boarding guests
• Boarding for both dogs and cats

Can my pet be groomed here too?

Yes. Grooming is offered alongside boarding, so a dog can go home clean after a stay. Dog's Best Friend also lists mobile grooming among its services. That option can help with older pets or animals that get stressed riding in the car.

Is it a good fit for multi-pet households?

Because the facility boards cats as well as dogs, families with both can use one place for every pet. That means one drop-off and one pickup when the whole household goes out of town.

How do I contact the kennel?

Dog's Best Friend can be reached by phone at (803) 691-6753, and more information is on its website at dogsbestfriend.biz. Calling ahead is the simplest way to check availability and ask what your pet needs before a stay.
