Dog Party USA is a cage-free dog boarding and daycare facility at 912 S. Maestri Rd. in Springdale, AR. Chaddie Kumpe Platt and her mother, Priscilla Kumpe, started it in 2005 as an alternative to kennels where dogs sit in cages between potty breaks. Dogs of every size are accepted, from small to giant, and the website lists boarding at $55 per night. The business says readers of the NWA Democrat-Gazette, Citiscapes Magazine, and Celebrate Magazine have voted it best pet boarding and daycare for 18 years running.

How play groups work

Dogs are sorted into five supervised groups: Itty Bitties, Smalls, Small Mediums, Big Mediums, and Bigs. Placement depends on play style, age, and confidence level, not only size. Each group has a trained supervisor, and staff train on dog body language, off-leash play management, breed characteristics, first aid, and behavior management. Certifications on the team include PACCC Certified Pet Care Provider and Pet Tech. Live cameras in every play yard let owners watch during the day, and the yards use K-9 Grass turf so dogs play without the mud.

Booking and requirements

Every new dog does a free trial and temperament test day, scheduled by phone at (479) 306-4660. After that, booking is handled online. Required vaccines are rabies, DHLPP, and Bordetella, with Bordetella repeated every six months; canine influenza is optional but recommended. Hours are 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM Monday through Friday and 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Saturday and Sunday, with weekend hours for pick-up and drop-off only. Staff can administer medication during a stay.
