Dakota Hills Veterinary Clinic

Dakota Hills Veterinary Clinic is an AAHA-accredited animal hospital at 1571 E. Hwy 44 that offers dog boarding in Rapid City, SD, alongside full veterinary care. Boarding is run by a dedicated boarding team inside a working clinic, so a vet is on site and patients receive 24-hour care.

Why board a dog at a vet clinic?

The main reason is medical backup. If a boarded dog needs attention during a stay, the clinic's veterinary staff is in the same building. That matters most for senior dogs, dogs on medication, or dogs recovering from a procedure.

The facility offers 24/7 supervision and was recently remodeled, and it is kept clean. The clinic describes its approach as compassionate and personalized, and its team talks about treating pets like part of the family.

What services are available?

• Pet boarding with a dedicated boarding team
• On-site veterinary care and 24-hour patient care
• Wellness exams and vaccinations
• Surgery and dentistry
• Exercise rehabilitation

What does the AAHA accreditation mean here?

Dakota Hills Veterinary Clinic holds AAHA accreditation as an animal hospital. For boarding owners, the practical upshot is simple. The place caring for a dog overnight is the same hospital that can handle its wellness visits, dental work or surgery.
