Champ STRONG Kennels

Champ STRONG Kennels is a home-based dog boarding and daycare service in Columbia, SC, that cares for no more than six dogs at a time. Each dog has its own kennel, and the day revolves around supervised play indoors and in a fenced backyard. Overnight boarding is listed at $50 per night, and owners book online.

What does a stay include?

The setup is kept small on purpose, so the house stays calm and each dog gets personal attention. Every stay includes the basics, plus a few extras that help dogs settle in:

• An individual kennel with bedding, bowls, and toys
• Supervised indoor and outdoor playtime in a 3,000 sq ft fenced backyard
• Potty breaks every 2-3 hours
• Enrichment like puzzles, Kong toys, and relaxing music
• A courtesy daily photo update

How is it different from a larger kennel?

With a six-dog limit, a stay here feels more like a friend's home than a busy boarding facility. Dogs share the play areas during supervised time and rest in their own kennels. The kennel describes its approach as personalized care in a calm home setting, not high volume.

A few services help with specific needs. Staff can give medication to dogs that need it. Optional food service (Pure Balance Chicken & Brown Rice) is available for owners who would rather not pack meals.

Practical details for owners

Weekday hours run from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Weekend hours are much shorter, just 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM on Saturday and Sunday, so plan weekend drop-offs and pickups ahead of time. Pickup and drop-off service is also offered. All dogs must be current on their vaccinations before boarding or daycare.

Daycare is available too, for owners who need daytime care without an overnight stay. With only six spots, it makes sense to book early, especially around busy travel weekends.
