Challenge Accepted Dog Training

Challenge Accepted Dog Training is a small-group dog daycare in south Kansas City, Missouri, that also provides overnight care and positive reinforcement training. It suits owners who want their dog treated as an individual rather than counted as part of a crowd.

What services does Challenge Accepted offer?

Daycare is the core of the business, and training is part of the daily routine. Owners who need care while they are away can ask about overnight stays or an in-home dog nanny option.

• Small-group dog daycare with daily enrichment activities
• Positive reinforcement dog training
• Overnight care in a calm, home-like setting
• In-home dog nanny option
• Street-side check-in and pick-up

How is a typical day structured?

Dogs split their time between outdoor play on a spacious third of an acre and rest indoors in a calm, home-like environment. The care is cage-free. The team describes its approach as reading each dog's body language and stepping in early, so play stays balanced instead of turning into nonstop running. Enrichment activities happen every day to keep dogs mentally engaged as well as physically tired.

How is it different from a larger facility?

Size is the main difference. The capacity is 8 dogs, which keeps groups small enough to notice each dog's personality, energy level and play style. The kennel describes its methods as humane, science-based and reward-focused, teaching dogs what to do without fear or force. That makes it a good fit for dogs who do better with structure and clear expectations.
