Central Ohio K9

Central Ohio K9 is a dog boarding and training facility in Johnstown, Ohio, where dogs stay in indoor/outdoor kennels on a 5-acre property. Training is the main focus here, so boarding sits alongside board-and-train programs, private lessons and dog sports.

What does a boarding stay look like?

Dogs sleep in indoor/outdoor kennels and get three walks a day around the property. Between walks, they have outdoor space to explore and an indoor area for play. Staff can also give medication, which helps if your dog is older or takes a daily prescription.

Who is it a good fit for?

Central Ohio K9 accepts intact dogs and dog-reactive dogs. Many boarding kennels won't take either, so it's worth a call if your dog has been turned away elsewhere. The trainers call their approach balanced. They mix reward-based methods with corrective techniques and shape each plan around the owner's goals.

What else happens on site?

Training options include private lessons, board-and-train programs and service dog training. Owners who do dog sports can rent the dock diving pool or book dock diving lessons. There's also barn hunt practice and ring rental for teams getting ready to compete or just playing for fun.
