Canine Campus Pet Resort

Nestled on six acres just off I-94 and Hwy 67 in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, Canine Campus Pet Resort has been caring for dogs and cats from across southeastern Wisconsin since 2001. What began as a two-person operation built from the ground up by original owners Marianne Giuffre and Marge Wappler has grown into a full-service boarding and daycare facility now led by Mary Helinski, who has continued to expand and modernize the property.

Dogs are matched into small play groups by size, temperament, and age, with careful on-lead introductions before any pet joins group play. For pets who feel anxious away from home, staff offer holistic comfort options like calming music, DAP diffusers, Thundershirts, and essential oils, alongside scent game enrichment activities.

• Canine boarding in Fiesta (20 rooms), Siesta (10 rooms), and PeeWee Palace (5 rooms for small dogs) suites, each with an attached private outdoor run
• Canine daycare with rotating access to four fenced exercise yards
• The Cattery, a renovated feline area with its own exercise room and quiet private living quarters
• Baths & brushing grooming services
• Scent games and other enrichment activities

Staff complete a specialized 40-hour Dog Language and Group Play training program through The Dog Gurus, plus Canine/Feline First Aid and Canine Good Manners instruction, before working independently with guests. The facility also accommodates special-needs pets, offering yoga mats for dogs with mobility issues, scent cues for blind dogs, and scheduled insulin shots or medication administration.

Canine Campus welcomes clients from Waukesha, Washington, Jefferson, Dodge, Milwaukee, and Racine counties as well as northern Illinois, and offers a 10% discount for military veterans and first responders.
