Campground Kennels

Campground Kennels is a dog boarding and daycare facility in Rockwall, Texas, run out of a 3-acre country property at 1 Austin Corners St. It accepts dogs of every size, small through giant, and caps the guest list at 50 campers at a time.

What the property is like

More than 60,000 square feet of the site is outdoor recreational space, split into individual play yards so dogs can be matched by play style. The country setting gives dogs room to spend much of the day outdoors when the weather cooperates. A swimming pool opens for the summer season, May through September. Indoors, dogs get air-conditioned private suites with bedding and movie rooms.

What a day there looks like

Weather permitting, dogs get up to nine or more hours of supervised play a day. There is also a late-night potty and play session from 7 to 10 PM, which runs later than most kennels stay open. For a dog used to one last trip outside before bed, that timing is a real difference. Dogs who would rather skip the group get one-on-one playtime instead, and staff are on site around the clock.
