Aspen Grove Boarding

Aspen Grove Boarding is a dog boarding and daycare facility at 7373 Franklin Road in Roanoke, VA, set up as a bed and breakfast for dogs. For owners comparing dog boarding in Roanoke, the main draw is the mix of private, climate-controlled suites and supervised group play.

What are the suites like?

Each dog stays in its own suite, fully heated and air-conditioned. The suites have stainless steel doors, ceiling fans, and skylights. Each one opens onto a fenced private patio of 50 square feet. All suites are sanitized daily, and belongings go home clean and freshly laundered.

What services does Aspen Grove offer?

• Overnight boarding in private suites
• Dog daycare with supervised group play
• Grooming and training
• Medication administration and special diets
• Indoor play areas and outdoor space

How does group play work?

Playgroups are matched by temperament and play style, so a shy dog isn't simply dropped into the rowdiest crowd. Staff supervise the play and socialization. The kennel describes its whole setup as designed to ease the stress of being away from home. Every day there's also an "Afternoon Tea" with gourmet biscuits and cookies, a small touch most boarding kennels skip.

What should owners know before booking?

Published rates run from $22 to $45 per day. Reservations are made online, and dogs must be current on their vaccinations. Listed business hours are 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM Monday through Friday, and 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM on Saturday and Sunday. Medication administration and special diets are both offered, which helps with older dogs or those with sensitive stomachs. Owners who want a bath or some training during the stay can also find grooming and training at the same facility.
