Animal Motel has been a trusted name in pet care near Milwaukee since 1960, when Don and Diana Gutknecht founded the family business that is now run by second-generation owner Daryl Gutknecht and his partner Michael. Located in Butler, Wisconsin, the facility has grown from its original Milwaukee roots into a purpose-built campus offering individualized, one-on-one care for dogs and cats with no breed restrictions.

Every boarding guest receives exercise four times daily, with daily charting of food intake, eliminations, and any prescribed medication. The team, which includes IBPSA-affiliated and PACCC-certified pet care specialists, also offers pet taxi and pet travel coordination for owners who need extra help getting their animals where they need to go.
