Animal Medical Center of Hattiesburg

Animal Medical Center of Hattiesburg is a veterinary hospital at 3422 Hardy St. in Hattiesburg, MS, that also offers boarding and doggie daycare. For owners comparing dog boarding in Hattiesburg, the main draw is clear. Dogs stay in a building with veterinarians on site and staff supervising around the clock.

What services does it offer?

Boarding here runs alongside a working animal hospital, so the hospitality side and the medical side share one roof. The facility lists these services:

• Overnight pet boarding with 24-hour on-site care
• Doggie daycare
• Grooming
• Pet taxi pickup and drop-off
• On-site veterinarians and an intensive care unit

How is it different from a standard kennel?

Many boarding kennels call an outside vet when a dog gets sick. At this facility, the veterinarians and an intensive care unit are in the same building. That can matter for senior dogs, dogs on medication, or owners who worry about what happens if something goes wrong overnight. The hospital describes its approach as quality care delivered in a compassionate way, and it aims to help pets feel at home during their stay. It is also a VHMA Member.

What should owners know before booking?

Weekday hours run from 7:30 AM to midnight, Monday through Friday. Booking is handled by phone at (601) 264-5785, so it makes sense to call ahead and reserve a boarding or daycare spot. The pet taxi can be scheduled the same way for pickup and drop-off. That helps when work hours make the drive to Hardy Street hard to fit in. Because supervision runs 24/7, boarded dogs have staff nearby through the night.
