Ames Pet Resort

Ames Pet Resort is a dog boarding and daycare facility at 2811 Hyatt Cir in Ames, Iowa. It handles overnight stays for dogs and cats, plus grooming and training. Dogs board in medium (22 sq ft), large (28 sq ft), or 60 sq ft suite kennels. Rates run $33 to $43 per night depending on the space. Cats get their own deluxe condos and cat suites.

What a stay includes

Bedding is provided, and boarding pets get a minimum of four bathroom breaks daily. Owners are welcome to send their dog's usual food, and house food is available for a fee. Staff also administer medication and manage special diets, which helps for senior pets or dogs on a prescription routine.

Play and daytime care

Daycare runs as supervised group play with up to 15 dogs per group. Two add-ons shape the day further: Zoomie Time is high-energy outdoor play, and Buddy Time is small-group socialization with a handler present. Both indoor and outdoor play areas are part of the facility.

The kennel is open 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM Monday through Friday, and 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM Saturday and Sunday. Reservations are booked online. Proof of vaccination is required.
