Aarf Pet Care

Aarf Pet Care offers homestyle dog boarding in Salt Lake City, Utah, along with dog daycare, at the Aarf House. It is a woman-led business built around in-home care, so dogs stay in a home setting rather than a traditional kennel. Beyond boarding, Aarf runs group dog hikes, neighborhood walks, and in-home visits for cats and small pets.

What services does Aarf Pet Care offer?

Boarding and daycare at the Aarf House are the core, but the service list goes wider than most boarding options:

• Homestyle dog boarding at the Aarf House
• Dog daycare
• Group dog hikes on local trails
• Neighborhood dog walking
• In-home visits for cats and small pets

Pickup and drop-off, medication administration, and grooming are also listed among its services. For households with both a dog and a cat, having one provider cover everything can simplify travel planning.

How does Aarf handle dogs in groups?

Group play only works when the dogs get along. Aarf matches dogs carefully by energy level and play style, so each dog spends time with compatible companions. Handling relies on positive reinforcement, which the team describes using to build reliable recalls and good manners while keeping groups together.

The overall approach is to tailor care to each pet's personality and daily routine. That is useful for owners whose dogs need a steady schedule or medication while they are away.

What should owners know before booking?

New clients start with a free in-home New Client Meeting, where a team member learns the dog's routine and any household details worth knowing. Booking is handled online after that. Aarf Pet Care holds certification through IBPSA, the International Boarding & Pet Services Association.
