Webshire Kennels

Webshire Kennels is a boarding and training kennel at 5694 Grandview Road in Larsen, Wisconsin, offering dog boarding 365 days a year, including holidays. The rural property is focused on gun dog training, and its boarding side gives traveling owners an attended place to leave their dog.

What is boarding like at Webshire Kennels?

Each dog gets an indoor/outdoor kennel. The inside run is a heated 4x4 space that connects to a 4x10 outdoor run. A screened-in porch surrounds the outdoor kennels, so dogs stay sheltered from wind, rain, snow and mosquitoes even when they are outside.

Every kennel has a raised bed or platform. The facility has 24-hour attendance, so someone is always on site.

• Heated, climate-controlled interior runs
• Outdoor runs covered by a screened porch
• Daily food and one exercise session included
• Extra individual exercise sessions available
• Grooming services on site

What makes it different?

Training is the core of this business. Webshire works with retrievers and upland bird dogs, and it also offers obedience training for everyday companions. The kennel holds the AKC Breeder of Merit designation. That working-dog focus may appeal to owners of hunting breeds who want their dog boarded somewhere that knows the type.

The kennel's own website has a warm, personal tone. It describes a passion for dogs in everything it does and takes clear pride in its wooded, rural setting.
