Veronica's Dog Training

Veronica's Dog Training offers in-home dog boarding and training in Bridgton, Maine, where dogs stay in a family home instead of a kennel. Boarding is cage-free, and dogs get walks and hikes on a private 70-acre wooded property. Training comes first here, so boarding sits alongside private lessons, board-and-train programs, and behavior work.

What services does Veronica's Dog Training offer?

The work covers both everyday manners and harder cases. Training is described as play and relationship-based, with a plan shaped around each owner's goals. Owners can pick the level of help that fits their dog.

• In-home, cage-free boarding in a family home
• Board-and-train programs
• Private lessons with lifelong follow-up support
• Behavior modification for aggression, reactivity, and resource guarding
• Puppy training and off-leash training

How is it different from a standard kennel?

This is a home setting, not a boarding facility. Dogs live in the house with the family and spend their outdoor time on the 70 acres of private woods. That arrangement may suit dogs that find a loud, busy kennel stressful.

The trainer holds two credentials: Certified Training Without Conflict Professional Dog Trainer and AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Evaluator. Owners dealing with aggression, reactivity, or resource guarding can ask about behavior modification as part of a training plan.

What does it cost and how do you book?

Boarding rates published on the website run from $75 to $110 per night. The business also lists payment plans, a sliding scale, and bartering options for owners on a tight budget. Foster and shelter dogs receive a 60% discount.

Everything starts with a free phone evaluation, a call to talk through the dog's needs and settle on a plan. Booking is handled by phone at 774-701-0112. Questions can also be sent to veronica@vkdogtraining.com.
