Velocity Acres

Velocity Acres is a dog boarding and daycare facility at 22351 E Bayaud Ave in Aurora, Colorado. Besides overnight stays, it offers grooming, training and a private dog park, so one property covers most of what a dog needs while its owner is away.

What services does Velocity Acres offer?

The kennel describes its approach as personal and hands-on, with attention to each dog's routine and personality. Its services include:

• Standard boarding and luxury private suites
• Doggy daycare for play and socializing
• Grooming
• Training, including board-and-train and conformation (show-ring) practice
• A private dog park with memberships and drop-in visits

What makes it different from other kennels?

The owners live onsite, so the people running the business are on the same property where the dogs stay. Velocity Acres welcomes both intact and spayed/neutered dogs, which helps owners of show dogs or dogs that haven't been fixed. Conformation practice for the show ring is a less common service, and it sits alongside the regular training programs.

Is it a good option for travelers flying out of DIA?

For people flying out of Denver International Airport, Velocity Acres offers airport dog boarding with a DIA shuttle and pickup and drop-off service. Parking is available on the property. Owners can call 720-571-2223 to ask about shuttle availability and scheduling before a trip.

How much does boarding cost, and how do you book?

According to prices published on the kennel's website, boarding runs from $55 to $85 per night. A VIP membership gives regular clients discounts on services. Stays are booked online through the Velocity Acres website, and the kennel can also be reached by phone.
