Urban Hound

Urban Hound is a family-owned dog boarding and daycare facility in Northwest Reno, NV, caring for dogs of every size, from small breeds up to giant ones. Overnight guests sleep in private boarding suites, and play time happens indoors across four separate areas grouped by size and energy level. Cats board here too, in their own condos.

What sets Urban Hound apart

Dogs aren't grouped by chance. The four play areas sort them by size and energy, so a small, cautious dog isn't sharing space with a pack of rowdy retrievers. Exercise and enrichment are matched to the individual dog rather than run on a single schedule.

Staff are trained in CPR and first aid. Grooming is available on site, which is useful at the end of a long stay.

Hours, rates, and booking

The facility sits at 6380 Mae Anne Ave, Ste 3. Doors open at 7:00 AM on weekdays and close at 6:00 PM, with weekend hours of 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM. Daycare runs on those same hours, which covers a normal workday for most Reno commuters.
