The Barker Shoppe

The Barker Shoppe is a dog boarding and daycare facility in Springfield, Missouri, offering overnight and extended stays, weekday daycare, and grooming under one roof. Owners searching for dog boarding in Springfield who also want their dog groomed can handle both with a single phone call.

What services does The Barker Shoppe offer?

The business covers the three things most owners look for in a local kennel. Its own website has a warm, friendly tone and talks about pampering pets and giving every dog a good day.

• Overnight and extended-stay dog boarding
• Dog daycare for owners who work during the day
• Grooming services
• Medication administration for dogs that need it
• An outdoor turf area for play and exercise

How are dogs grouped during play?

Dogs aren't all turned out together. Playgroups are organized by size and by socialization level, which helps match dogs with others that play the same way. Play and exercise take place on an outdoor turf area.

Can dogs from the same household stay together?

Yes. Siblings can board together, which can help dogs that settle in better with a familiar companion. For longer trips, every 7th night of boarding is free.
