Tessa's Kennel

Tessa's Kennel is a farm-based dog boarding facility at 16707 Winchester Road in Ossian, Indiana, taking overnight guests and offering training as well. Dogs stay in 5x5 indoor kennels, each set up with a raised bed and two bowls, and a doggie door leads straight out to an attached outdoor run.

What a stay looks like

Outdoor runs range from 5x20 to 10x25, so a dog with energy to burn has somewhere to burn it, and the largest run fits two dogs from the same family. Four cameras are set up for family viewing, so owners can check in on their dog during the stay. The kennel works around a dog's regular feeding schedule where it can, and medication can be given during a stay. If fleas or ticks turn up, the treatment used is Wondercide, an all-natural product.

Boarding runs $30 to $45 per night depending on run size, according to the kennel's published pricing, and families booking more than one kennel get 10% off. Proof of current vaccinations is required before a dog can stay, and the boarding contract can be downloaded from the kennel's website ahead of drop-off.
