Tail Waggerz Day Care and Boarding

Tail Waggerz Daycare & Boarding is a family-owned dog boarding and daycare facility at 5407 Bandera Rd, Suite 117 in San Antonio, TX, and it boards cats as well. Dogs of every size are accepted, from small breeds up to giant ones. Boarding guests spend part of the day in supervised play rather than alone in a run.

What makes it different

The two yards do double duty, so dogs in daycare and dogs staying overnight both get outdoor time on turf behind a wooden privacy fence. Cat owners get a genuinely separate space: the cat area has its own entrance and multi-tier kennels built for single-cat and multi-cat households. Staff are certified in Cat & Dog CPR and First Aid through ProPetHero, and the business took part in the SBA T.H.R.I.V.E. Emerging Leaders Reimagined program in 2023. For pets that do better at home, Tail Waggerz also offers dog walking and home visits.

Practical details

New dogs go through a Meet & Greet assessment before a first daycare or boarding stay, and vaccinations are required. Booking is handled by phone at (210) 647-7760. Published boarding rates run $25 to $43 per night, with discounts for multi-night stays and for families bringing more than one pet. The facility is open 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM Monday through Friday, and 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM on Saturday and Sunday.
