South Paws Pet Service

South Paws Pet Service is an in-home dog boarding and daycare provider based in Chesapeake, VA. Dogs don't stay in a traditional kennel here. They board overnight in a secured home and yard, which may suit owners who want a household setting for their dog.

What services does South Paws offer?

Boarding is the main service, but the business also handles a wider range of everyday pet care. Owners can combine services depending on whether they're traveling or just working long days.

• Overnight boarding in a secured home and yard
• Doggie daycare with outdoor space
• In-home pet sitting with overnight stays at the owner's house
• 30-minute dog walks, with pet cleanup included
• Pet transportation to local dog parks, plus yard pet waste removal

How is it different from a kennel?

The setting is the biggest difference. Dogs board in a home with a secured yard instead of a facility full of runs. For dogs that do better on their own turf, in-home pet sitting with overnight stays is another option.

Scheduling happens by text, and the business describes its replies as fast. South Paws is fully insured and lists itself as available 24/7, including weekends and holidays. Pickup and dropoff are offered too, which helps owners working around a flight or a long workday.
