Pupper's Play & Stay

Pupper's Play & Stay is a dog boarding and daycare facility at 1621 12th Ave in Seattle's Capitol Hill neighborhood. It offers both cage-free and traditional kennel boarding, plus daytime play for dogs of every size, from small breeds to giant ones.

What services does Pupper's Play & Stay offer?

Owners can choose overnight stays or daycare, and staff supervise dogs around the clock. The main offerings include:

• Cage-free boarding, plus kennel boarding with room for personal bedding
• Dog daycare with indoor play areas and outdoor space
• Potty Patio breaks every 3 to 4 hours
• Medication administration for dogs that need it
• Optional dog walks to Cal Anderson Park

How do owners stay in touch during a stay?

The kennel sends daily "Pupdates," which pair photos with short written summaries of a dog's day. It's an easy way for owners to check in without calling the front desk. For security, the facility uses a camera system and keeps its exterior gates locked.

What should owners know before booking?

Every new dog starts with a free Initial Temperament Evaluation, so staff can see how the dog gets along before its first stay. Vaccinations are required. Booking is done online, and the kennel can also be reached at 206-466-1052 or info@puppersplayandstay.com.

Published boarding rates run from $69 to $75 per night. The facility is open 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM on weekdays and 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM on weekends.

Why do Capitol Hill owners consider it?

Location is a big part of it. A boarding spot in the middle of the city, with park walks available, is handy for Seattle owners who would rather not drive out to the suburbs. The family-owned business says its goal is a safe, clean, and fun place where every dog can feel at home. Owners who want kennel and cage-free options in one place, with regular updates during the stay, may want to put it on their shortlist.
