Planet Canine

Planet Canine is a small dog boarding and daycare facility at 1123 Francisco Blvd E in San Rafael, CA, serving Marin County owners who want their dog in a social setting. Dogs spend their days in supervised pack-style play, and overnight guests sleep indoors.

The facility takes up to 25 dogs, so the group stays manageable. Its stated approach is simple: let a dog be a dog, with plenty of company and room to run.

What services does Planet Canine offer?

Both daycare and overnight boarding are available. Daycare dogs join supervised group play for up to 8 hours a day, with access to both indoor and outdoor areas. Boarding dogs get the same playtime, then settle into indoor sleeping areas at night.

• Supervised pack play for up to 8 hours a day
• Overnight boarding with crate or open floor-space sleeping options
• Meals and bedding included, with Diamond Natural food fed twice daily
• Special diets and medication administration
• Play pools in warm weather

What is the outdoor yard like?

The fully fenced yard measures 15' x 125' and can be divided so large and small dogs play separately. A pergola gives dogs a shaded spot to rest between rounds of play. Play structures include igloos for hiding, a slide, and a fire hydrant.

What should owners know before booking?

Proof of vaccination is required for every dog. Reservations are handled by email at info.planetcanine@gmail.com, and the facility can also be reached by phone at (415) 459-6130. Listed hours are 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM on weekdays and 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM on weekends.

Planet Canine can accommodate dogs on special diets or medications. Owners should share those details when they book so staff can plan for them.
