The biggest difference is medical coverage. Pender has an on-site veterinary clinic, a mobile vet partnership, and a licensed veterinary technician on staff, and one of its owners is a veterinarian. Staff supervise the facility 24/7, so someone is always on site with a dog that needs medication or close watching.

The second is exercise. Every boarding dog gets at least three walks a day, and guests in the executive and presidential suites get five. Besides the fenced play areas on the property, there's a public dog park right next door. Indoors, the HVAC system uses hospital-grade HEPA filtration and UV sanitization.
