Paws Pet Resort, LLC offers dog boarding and daycare at 5423 Airport Road in Williamsburg, VA. Every dog stays in its own suite, and supervised play time is part of the boarding rate. The family-owned resort keeps its suites climate controlled, with music piped through the building.

Suites and play space

Suite choices include the Presidential Suite, which has a sofa, TV, a window view and an area rug. Cable TV is also in the Executive suites, and raised beds are available on request. Outside, dogs use a 3,000 square foot turf play yard, and an indoor play area covers bad-weather days.

How dogs are grouped

Dogs complete an on-site temperament assessment before joining a play group. Groups are put together by size and temperament, and each one is supervised. Daycare is available as well, which works for owners with long workdays or a young dog who needs to burn off energy midweek.

Cost, hours, and booking

Boarding is $53 per night, with a discount for families bringing more than one dog. The resort is open 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM Monday through Saturday and closed on Sunday. Booking is handled by phone at 757-345-0553, which gives staff a chance to hear about a dog's routine before the first stay.
