Ocotillo Animal Clinic & Pet Resort

Ocotillo Animal Clinic & Pet Resort is a veterinary clinic at 3333 S. Arizona Ave. that also offers dog boarding in Chandler, along with daycare and grooming. Because boarding shares a building with a working vet practice, it suits owners whose dogs take medication or need a closer eye while the family travels.

What is boarding like here?

Dogs stay in private boarding suites rather than open runs. Each closed suite has its own air conditioning vents and ducts, which matters during an Arizona summer. Raised "cozy" cots are provided. The staff also offers one-on-one attention and individual playtime. Cats board in a separate private area with their own feline suites, apart from the dogs.

Key services and amenities:

• Private, climate-controlled boarding suites
• Dog daycare and an indoor play area
• Grooming on site
• Medication administration during stays
• Alarm-monitored, clean facility

What sets it apart from a typical kennel?

The main difference is medical backup. Veterinarians are on site during business hours and can be reached after hours. The practice is federally accredited and lists the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) among its credentials. For owners of older dogs or dogs with ongoing health needs, having a vet in the same building can make a trip easier to plan.

Practical details before booking

The clinic is open 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM Monday through Friday and 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturday. It is closed on Sunday, so drop-offs and pickups need to fit those hours. Reservations are made by phone at (480) 899-8181. Vaccinations are required for boarding, so it helps to have records ready when calling. Owners who want to see the suites first can tour the facility during business hours.
