Neuman K-9 Academy

Neuman K-9 Academy is a dog boarding and in-board training facility on a 10-acre wooded campus in Hugo, MN. Boarding dogs are housed in the lower level of a home rather than in kennel runs or barns. Those rooms are climate-controlled and served by a commercial medical-grade air purification system.

What the Academy offers

The main programs are in-board dog and puppy boot camps, available in 4, 8, and 12 week options. Boarding days are structured rather than open-ended. Dogs get four supervised play groups a day, plus nature hikes with off-leash recall practice and treadmill conditioning sessions.

What makes it different

This is a training-focused place first, and the boarding side runs on the same routine and handling. The credentials listed for the facility include Master Trainer through the Tarheel Canine School For Dog Trainers and Certified Dog Trainer (IACP-CDT) with the International Association of Canine Professionals. Staff also hold Accredited Pet Care Provider status through PSI and work as a Canine Good Citizen Evaluator for the AKC. Certifications in canine first aid and CPR and in canine infectious disease management (ABKA) round out the list.

Practical details
