Lucky Paw Lodge

Lucky Paw Lodge provides cage-free dog boarding and daycare in North Oxford, MA, at 120 Southbridge Street. Dogs of all sizes are accepted, from small breeds up through giant ones.

Inside the lodge

Overnight guests sleep in private suites with glass doors, offered in three sizes: the Den, the Villa, and the Grande. Each one comes with a Kuranda bed. The building is fully heated and air-conditioned, and the vaulted ceilings with wood beams keep air moving overhead. Outdoor play yards are built more like a camp, with boulders and play structures to scramble over. An indoor play yard covers the days when the weather does not cooperate.

Booking, hours, and rates

Reservations are handled by email at luckypawlodge@gmail.com, and the lodge can also be reached at 508-731-0002. Published rates run $40 to $70 per night, depending on which suite a dog stays in. Vaccinations are required before a stay. The lodge is open 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM Monday through Friday, and 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM on Saturday and Sunday. Staff credentials include K9 CPR certification.

Owners looking for a place where dogs spend the day loose with other dogs, rather than shut in a run, will find that setup here. Because every size is accepted and the suites come in three footprints, small dogs and large ones both have somewhere that fits. Grooming is limited to bathing and nail trimming, so the lodge works best for owners who want boarding and play first and basic cleanup on the way out.
