Lake Wylie Pet Resort

Lake Wylie Pet Resort offers dog boarding and daycare in Clover, SC, out of its location at 5424 Hwy 55 E. Dogs can stay at the resort itself, or stay in their own house with a sitter through the in-home program. The business also serves Lake Wylie, Rock Hill, and York.

What owners can book

• Overnight boarding in three suite sizes, including Presidential Suites with plush bedding, color TVs, and raised feeders
• In-home boarding with background-checked, insured sitters, including round-the-clock VIP care
• Daily photo and text updates during in-home stays
• Doggie Day-Play for exercise and socialization
• Grooming, training, and medication administration

Two ways to leave a dog

Not every dog settles into a boarding facility. Seniors on tight routines, anxious dogs, and first-timers often do better sleeping in their own bed, and the in-home option covers that case with a sitter who comes to the house. Dogs who like the company of other dogs get the resort version instead: a private suite at night, Day-Play during the day. The staff describes its aim as making dogs eager to visit rather than nervous about it, which shapes how drop-offs and first stays are handled.

Details worth knowing before booking

Weekday hours run 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Saturday is a morning-only window, 8:00 AM to noon, and Sunday hours are 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Booking is done online. Vaccinations are required for every dog that stays, so owners should have current records ready. Dogs on medication can be accommodated, and doses and timing are worth flagging at booking rather than at drop-off. Questions go to 803-831-0481, and the resort posts updates on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.
