Highland Dog Resort

Highland Dog Resort is an overnight dog boarding facility at 11 Cherry Tree Drive in Nutter Fort, WV, where every dog stays in a private suite. The focus is on one-on-one care rather than group play. That makes it a good fit for owners who want their dog to get plenty of personal attention while they're away.

What does a stay at Highland Dog Resort include?

Dogs get hours of one-on-one time with staff every day, including private walks. Playtime happens in one of 10 turfed outdoor yards, so each dog has the space to itself. The resort describes itself as all-inclusive, and the basics for a comfortable night are already in the suite.

• Private suites with cots, soft beds, and blankets
• Food and water bowls provided
• A personal cart for each dog's food, treats, and toys
• 10 turfed outdoor yards for private play
• Three or more video updates sent each day

How does the resort handle cleanliness?

Every suite is fully disinfected between stays. The resort's own description stresses safety and comfort as top priorities, along with treating each guest like part of the family.

What happens before a dog's first stay?

A Meet & Greet is required for new guests before they board. For dogs that are new to boarding or tend to get nervous, trial nights are available. A trial night gives owners a sense of how their dog settles in before committing to a longer trip.

What does it cost, and how do owners book?

Published rates on the resort's website run from $65 to $95 per day. Booking is handled by phone at 304-918-9109. Owners with questions can also reach Highland Dog Resort by email at highlanddogresort@gmail.com.

For Nutter Fort families looking for private, attentive overnight boarding, the daily video updates are a practical plus. They let owners check in on their dog without waiting until pickup.
