Happy Tails Dog Ranch is a dog boarding and daycare facility set on a 22-acre country ranch in Berthoud, Colorado. It accepts dogs of every size, small through giant, and keeps them in secure private indoor lodging spaces overnight.

What sets it apart

Space is the main thing here. Eight yards spread across the property mean dogs have room to run instead of circling a small pen. In summer, the Canine Island Oasis adds splash pools and a shaded play area.

Group play is co-mingled, so boarding guests get the same socialization daycare dogs do, and dogs who would rather skip the crowd can have solo play instead. The day is broken up by a supervised mid-day nap and quiet hours.

Practical details

Boarding rates run $31 to $54 per night, and reservations are made online. The ranch is open 7:00 AM to 6:30 PM Monday through Friday and 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM on Saturday and Sunday. Every dog needs current vaccinations.
